After removing Acronis True Image app on Synology DS415+ NAS also backups are gone?

Hello,

Afer removing the Acronis True Image app from my DS415+ Synology NAS, also the backupfiles made by Acronis True Image for windows are deleted! Not the mobile backupfiles but also the windows backupfiles. Nothing to find in the #recycle-map, there is no #recycle-map. Can somebody help me to get my windows-backupfiles back?

I find it strange that the app for mobile backup also the windows bakupfiles delete.

John, welcome to these public User Forums.

I have never been able to use the Acronis app for my own Synology NAS because it is not one of the supported models for the app, so have no experience in the effects of installing or removing the app.

It seems very strange if your backup files on the NAS get removed by removing the app which is only for dealing with mobile backups from either Apple / IOS or Android devices.  There should be no connection between the app and backup files created from Windows (or MacOS) that use the NAS as their destination.

Have you tried using the Open location option from the Windows ATI GUI for one of your backup tasks going to the NAS?  Does this also show that the files are gone?

If it does, then I can only suggest opening a Support case directly with Acronis Support and work with them to have this issue investigated further.

Hi Steve, thank you for your quick response to my problem with Acronis Mobile and Acronis True Image for Windows.

Sorry for my late response, I was so disappointed I didn't realize people like you could respond to my question. The answer to your suggestion is: I only find the True Images backup files created after I uninstalled the mobile app.
I apologize for my late response and thank you for thinking along, but I think I can forget that there is still a solution.
