Backup is missing EFI partition

Thread needs solution

Hi. I'm really hoping you guys can help.

I recently made a backup (sector by sector) and then restored another image temporarily on another drive.

In the process, I think I made the mistake of restoring "Track 0" on my main drive which resulted in deleting the EFI partion. When I tried to restore the image I have recently made, I find that it does not contain the EFI partition.

I even confirmed the case by going into the .tib itself and I cannot see the EFI partition.

What can I do in this case?

Rani, welcome to these public User Forums.

If you have made a full disk & partitions backup as per your first statement above then this should include all partitions that were on the original disk.

If you chose to use 'sector-by-sector' backup method for the disk backup, then this again will contain all partitions by virtue of including all sectors of the drive.

The EFI partition may not actually be called by that exact name!  On my laptop, it is shown as just 'System' but when opened it shows an EFI Folder!
