cannot restore from DVD

Thread needs solution

okay , here is my situation , I create a rescue media of the Acronis True Image Home 2010 plus pack ISO , I then modify the ISO to contain my two TIB files , the media boots fine , now when I try to open one of my TIB files to restore ( password protected ) it gives me error message "Failed to check the backup archive" the Details as following:

Code: 0xA1007

now when I copy the two files to the hard disk and try to restore from it works okay .

what is the problem trying to restore from the DVD/CD ? I usually have done this with the Acronis True Image Workstation 9.5.8076 and always with a success .

Possibly the tib file security details are incorrect for the DVD?

What happens if you try a non password protected image file?

I try tomorrow morning and tell you , frankly I dont think it is a password problem, Also I sometimes the program cannot recognize my CD-ROM weather it is a SATA or IDE, this is a huge problem , I always used ATI echo workstation 9.5 and it worked like a charm , anyway I want to ask , is it possible to take an image of windows 7 and restore it on dissimilier hardware using Universal Restore with the ATI workstation 9.5 ? if this works then no need for ABR 10 and ATI home 2010 . Thanks in advance.

Ok I tryed what you stated above and no luck yet , any help ?

Did you uninstall Workstation before installing 2010?

At the moment I can only think that there is some Workstation components left which are interfering with 2010.

Does the problem only happen when you create a custom ISO that includes the image files? In other words, if you try to restore a regular image DVD (one created by TI, for example), does it work correctly?

i am also experiencing this error on B&R10 server for windows (same error code and symptoms)... backup/recover all day from usbhdd; fails once using optical media.
