TI 10 Home--Failed to Read Data from the Disk

Thread needs solution

This is for TI 10 Home. I am running Windows 7 Professional. I am backing up a new SSD that I bought.

I get the following errors:

Failed to Read data from the disk.
Failed to read from Sector '-2,073,091,520' of hard disk 2.
Failed to read the snapshot manager drive (0x1000D7)
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error (0xFFF0)

When I canceled out the error message window, it began to back up my data.

What gives?

I am also getting similar error messages and the backups are failing.

My system is a Toshiba Satelite A505 running Windows 7 64bit, but similar problems occurred on a Pentium 4 HP Pavilion running WinXP Home. Same problems occurred using different external drives for the archives.

On the Toshiba, I was able to do a data-only backup but received the following messages when trying to do a full system backup:

Read error. (0x70003)
Tag = 0xDF81DA2C74EC501C
Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10C45A)

Full XML log is attached for the latest failure.

I appreciate any and all help. Thanks.

Hello all,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely help you.

Such errors are usually caused by 2 things: errors on the hard drive or a malfunction of Acronis drivers which are used for hard drive operations.

Please check the following KB article for the solution and if you need additional help, please let me know.

Thank you.
