"Unkwon error" at backup

Thread needs solution

I started to use Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, but at the time of backup, the following message came out and the backup stopped.

I saw this error from TI2019,2020 also, but this error occurs so frequently (maybe 10 - 20 %)

Why this error occurs and why unknown error?

Does anyone experience this error?

Kazuhiro, sorry but no idea what this 'unknown error' might be just based on seeing a screen image.

Please ensure that you have the latest build #39620 for ACPHO installed as this fixes some issues that came with the initial release build of the application.

Beyond that, download a copy of the latest MVP Assistant tool from the link in forum topic: MVP Assistant update for Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office - where the author (Bruno) has provided an updated version to work with ACPHO - MVP Assistant 1.1.2.0

The logs should be able to give more information on what error is being encountered?

If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.

If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backups from earlier versions using .tib files) or using Cloning then look in the Demon logs.

Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.

The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.

I already installed the latest build #39620 for ACPHO, and also have MVP Assistant 1.1.2.0.

But this error occurs sometime when backupping, and also checked the log, but no log for this error.

In fact, I have experiencd this error on TI2019, 2020 and 2021, and so I went back to TI2018 (no such error).

Kazuhiro,

It is difficult for me to tell exactly what your screenshot indicates due to language barrier.  having said that I believe this error is what would be seen when the application cannot find the backup task location.  Where are the backup files located exactly, external usb disk, internal sata disk, mapped network drive?

It may be necessary to remove the backup task itself from the application without removing the backup files themselves and then adding the backup file location back into the GUI to get things working again.
