File I/O error writing to NAS with True Image 2010
PC: Running Windows 7, Ultimate, 64bit.
NAS: Agestar NCB3AS Fat32.
Acronis: True Image 2010 with latest build
Problem: File I/O error
I am having ongoing difficulties writing to the NAS. I never had problems when under XP Pro in an older computer.
I have decreased the write speed to 20%,
Decreased the network speed to 20%
Changed the file size to 700MB.
All without success. I have also tried turning off Windows Firewall with no difference.
When I go and select the Target for the backup it doesn't matter if I use the mapped drive, UNC path or IP address, it still returns File I/O error.
When I select the target on the NAS for the backup, the existing files all show in the panel, so it is reading to the NAS ok.
I have spent many, many hours trying to sort this out - all to no avail.
HELP!
Regards
Muzz

Thanks for your reply. I cannot change permissions for the folder on the NAS. It is FAT 32, but I was previously able to edit permissions ok. I wonder if it is a security setting is Windows 7 that is stopping it? However I am logged in as administrator and have opened all the security settings I can think of.
I have just discovered now that I cannot write even a small text file to the disk where previously I could save to the NAS without problems. As noted above though, I can read to the NAS ok.
