Backing up to network broken
Getting TrueImage Home to back up my workstation to my Linux server has always been a pain - backing up to network share makes TIH forcefully close every other file opened from a network share and delete all mapped drives - and then still fail to actually produce a backup (had a lengthy discussion with tech support about this, but gave up trying to get it to work, since I was just being led in circles), while backing up through FTP at least used to work (after I manually edited the XML file to correct \'s to /'s).
However, my SSD started failing, so I moved my Windows install to a hard disk while the SSD is being replaced, and now I can't set up backup to network at all - choosing any network share or mapped drive causes TIH to ask me for username/password, then fail the connection even though I'm absolutely certain that they're correct (of course, all my mapped drives are also deleted, and any file opened from the server is closed - very annoying).
If I try to choose a FTP destination instead, TIH at least manages to connect and list the directory, but then it fails with "Cannot create folder ftp:\\192.168.0.1:21\" when I click either "Back up now" or "Later", and doesn't even save the script where I could manually fix this screwup. Error code returned is 0x0004000A, which the knowledge base claims to mean there's no write access on the FTP, but I have no problems uploading and downloading with FileZilla using the same account (and looking at the server logs reveals that TIH didn't even attempt to connect to the server).
I also tried to delete and recreate the FTP connections, but there's no obvious way of doing that...
So... how do I get TrueImage 2011, Update 1 (build 6696) to back up to network (without disrupting my mapped drives)?

You might also consider restarting the TI install program and use the repair option so it reinstalls over the existing install. TI does track the Disk ID information and this may have a bearing.

Neither selecting a mapped drive, nor using an UNC path works (if I type an UNC path, Acronis asks me for username and password, but fails the connection - after deleting all my mapped drives and closing all files that were opened through network). I don't need to enter any credentials to connect to my server - I've got a domain set up, so my logon username and password are used.
Anyway, I'd just like to get backup over FTP to work again, since that seems more reliable than using network shares.

Did a repair as well, but since that requires a restart, I couldn't test until now. Nothing has changed, I still can't do even a single backup to network drive or FTP.

Hi all,
Thank you for your comments! Pat, GroverH, thanks a lot for your help!
Ender, in case none of the suggestions helped, then the situation requires investigation. Could you please gather the following data:
- Acronis Info from the problem machine
- Wireshark
and submit a case with the information attached, and let us know it's number.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you!

The suggestions didn't help, and right now I'd just like to get FTP to work. Wireshark logs won't help here, because TIH refuses to even create a backup task to FTP.
I don't want to even try backing up to network share, because:
- much of my work is on the server, and TIH forcefully disconnects all network connections every time I try to set up a backup to either mapped driver or UNC path (just browsing to network is enough to sever the connections)
- even back when I was able to get TIH to create backups on the server directly, scheduled backups stopped working the next day after I restored something from the backup (when they worked for longer than 3 days at all) - I didn't have these problems with FTP
Here's what happens when I try to set up backup to FTP:
As you can see, TIH changes ftp://192.168.0.1 to ftp:\\192.168.0.1 (the FTP server logs do not show any attempted connections after I click "Back up now" - however, while browsing, TIH has no problems accessing the FTP server, and the FTP logs show that) - this already happened the first time I created a FTP scheduled task, but at that time, TIH saved the task, and I was able to manually correct \\ to // by editing the backup script in a text editor. Since this doesn't work anymore, I tried to remove the FTP connections from TIH (to see if recreating them would help), but I can neither find any place to remove them in the UI, nor can I find where they're stored on disk.

BTW, I just tried installing TrueImage Home 2011 build 6696 in VMWare virtual machine (Windows 7 Pro SP1), and then tried to create a FTP backup - the result was identical:
