Question: what will happen? I'd like to have those logical drives preserved, but doubt recovery will create them. What I worry about is what will happen. Thank you for help in advance, Janos

You can shrink the windows 7 system partition using its disk management, create new partitions ( e.g. two primary and two logical) and then restore onto these partitions. Are yoiu going to make it dual-boot with XP?
