Acronis BR 10 Adv. SBS together with Adv. Workstation on one Server?

Hi all,

I´m nearly a newbie in the BR10-world... I have to administrate a 2003 SBS, where BR10 Adv. SBS is installed. Now I have to Backup about 15 Workstations, for this I planned to use BR10 Adv. Workstation. Is it possible to us it on the server along with the SBS Edition? Or is it just like an "addon" for the existing installation?

Thank you for finding time to join us on Forum, and open the thread regarding this questions. I will be glad to address it.

The answer depends on the details of your scenario.

If you would like to backup SBS server with the help of ABR Workstations solution, then it's not possible, as ABR Avd. Workstations doesn't support Server platform. You can only install components for centralized management there, as License Server, Management Console, Management Server and Storage Node. Workstations Agent will refuse to install onto the SBS platform.

You can find the list of supported OSes in this KB article.

In case you would like to manage all processes from the SBS server, you can surely install ABR 10 Adv. Workstation centralized management components onto the SBS server, and proceed with installation of the Agents to the ws machines, scheduling tasks, etc.

Thanks for your answer. I would like to manage all processes from the SBS server, which is already backed up by the BR10 SBS Edition.
