Help Requested - E 00640067

Thread needs solution

I use Acronis® True Image Home® version 11.0 (build 8,022) with Windows XP O/s.
I back up by having set tasks and dates/times to function automatically. This worked perfectly well until recently until Acronis failed to automatically do any of the tasks set. I got an Error Notice: E 00640067: Failed to run task. Failed to execute the task script. Error #1326 - "Logon failure: unknown username or bad password (0xFFF)". I have tried repeatedly to reset the task using the original username and password but without success. I have tried using a new username and password also without being able to get the programe to run the tasks automatically at the preset times/dates. I have had to resort to manually backing up periodically. Can anyone kindly advise me how to resolve this problem.

Hello Kevin,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting. I will definitely help you with resolving this issue.

I would recommend the solution from this KB article, there are several causes to this issue and they are all covered here.

In case you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

G'morning Anton,
Thank you for your advice but no joy. I have followed the recommendations in the KB article, including downloading acronisscheduler461forabr.exe and acronis scheduler.exe but without any success. After presetting a task and entering the two sets of passwords, I have used from the outset without a problem, and clicking OK, I keep getting the error notice: “The login information is not correct. Are you sure you want to continue with this task?"

If I clcick "Yes" and then start the task, it fails to start and gives me the error notice: E00640067: Failed to run the task. Failed to execute the task script. Error #1326 - "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password (0xFFF0)".

I do not understand this as I am using the passwords I used originally which worked OK. Now they are not acceptable to the prog and it will not start the scheduled tasks I set. As I am the Administrator for my pc, is it necessary to have to insert passwords to preset tasks - is there anything else I can do please?
