ATIH POP-Up Back-Up Task Validation Error after logging into to Windows 7 Ultimate (64)
Hello
I receive the following error each time that Windows 7 opens, following User login. The pop-up appears in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, (screen shot of error attached).
*************************************
"Operation has failed.
Backup validation Task execution failed.
Description: See operation log for details."
*************************************
I looked in the "log' found under the ?Help menu / Log. There did not appear to anything useful in it and no obvious link to this issue. Is there a different log file?
Any ideas as to why this occurring?
Thanks!
Doug

I have the exact same problem. For some reason after installing build 6857, The validation keeps getting set for a monthly validation, even though you turn it off. When you restart Acronis it is back on. I get the error message because I turn off my external drive after doing a backup and validation. On the next Windows 7 professional startup, the error message displays, with nothing in the log to indicate what caused the error.

Charles,
For a specific backup task, if you turn off the validation it should stay off. When you change the setting, make sure you go back to the backup scheme tab of the backup options. In previous builds, you wouldn't save properly the settings for the backup task if you didn't do it. The last build fix some part of that problem, but maybe not everything. Worth trying that workaround.
If you save the validation off as the default setting, it doesn't stay and you will have the default monthly validation for a new backup task: this is a known bug.
