ATI 2011 breaks Backup and Restore in Windows 7

Thread needs solution

After uninstalling ATI 2011, Backup and Restore will not start.

A very helpful tech from ATI spent ~ 45 minutes on my system trying to get Backup and Restore to start.

Finally, the only option was to do a system restore.
Which also didn't work - but that's an MS issue. Fortunately, there's a system image - created before ATI was installed - created by Windows Backup and Restore. I've got my system back up and running. But, it took ~ 5 hours to first figure out that it was uninstalling ATI that was breaking Backup and Restore.

Frank,

The last ATI 2011 build 6696 behaves much better with regards to the Windows backup and restore. There is a fancy feature where the Windows backup and restore control panel can be replaced by the ATI one.

I don't use this feature, because I use Windows Backup in parallel to ATI (backup redundancy), so I make sure to disable this integration and others under help > settings > integrate TI into windows.

Hi, I use ATI 2010 and have the same issue. Windows Backup &Restore in the Control Panel doesn't open up. Backups are still running, but I need to change them. How can I open the Windos 7 Backup & Restore Screen without uninstalling ATI 2010 again.

Cheers
Thomas
