V1 Home and ex mirrored Windows 7 hard drives

Thread needs solution

I've "broken" a Windows 7 32 bit software mirror (of two hard drives) to make a image of the original "drive 0" using True Image Home v11 in turn to move this to a new larger single drive - backed up to our NAS.

However it seems to be seeing the one remaining drive as "dynamic" and asking for me to spend more money to add something to make the image - what is going on?

Thanks all in advance (TIA all)

Andy

Because it is still dynamic - after you broke the mirror you have two simple volumes on dynamic disks. Dynamic disks are supported by TI Home only with Plus Pack (that is that something for more money). You can't convert it back to basic withou data loss using windows built-in utilities, but there are third-party ones.

Oh great - not - simple raid for protection not supported by Acronis in home version

Could you guide me to safe utilities that will convert the dynamic disc back to basic without data loss?

Would go back to a bare metal rebuild as have operating software but do not want to loose all the drivers in case this box has unusual features

All data files already saved away in case of bollox in imaging of course

Again TIA all
