Thread needs solution

Using TI 2011, update 2 build 6868, Win 7 (up to date). My backup drive went bad. I installed a new one (USB).
I can back up everything but my system drive. I tried backing up to the USB drive and another internal drive.
same result -

The attached log bu-c-2-d is to the internal drive. the other is the USB

Can you run chkdsk /r on the disk?

Yes, no problem. Both the source and both destinations pass chkdsk/r.

I uninstalled and reinstalled TIH. The problem still exists.

If I do a backup of DISKC (system disk) with NO excludes, everything works. If I even use just the default exclude files, it fails.

I can back up all my other partitions (even with detailed excludes) without any problems.

If you have access to your disk manufacturer's diagnosis tools, run them. Sometimes they find things that chdsk /r doesn't find.

Thanks for the help but - If I can back up fine without using the exclude file feature, but the BU fails when I try to exclude even 1 file, I dont think it is a problem with the disk.

Restored system disk from a backup.
Uninstalled Acronis TIH
Re-installed

All working fine!
Problem resolved!
