E-Mail Notification stopped working
TIH2011 - I setup my backups to provide email feedback after every run. Recently I added a Post command to shutdown the system after completion of the backup. The email notifications no longer were sent. Thinking it was a weird timing issue I added a 2 minute delay before shutdown. The backups run successfully, the system does shutdown, but no email notifications are sent.
I find it highly annoying and insulting that Acronis does not provide support for at least 1 year after the product is installed. No further updates have been released after 6868, yet a 'new' version is now available for purchase or upgrade. How about fixing the bugs in the prior release before cutting loose a new version?
This is not the only little bug I've discovered. I am about to post another relating the Pre-Post commands. I'm glad I don't try anything exotic; who knows what other bugs I'd find.
What happened to the Acronis backup of 5 years ago that was solid as a rock?

I completely agree with your assessment of a buggy 2011.
Test messages work just fine, as had the notifications, up until I added the 'Post' command to shutdown after the backup task is completed. The backup tasks are being successfully completed and the machine is being shutdown. The problem is that now no notifications are being sent. Yes, I can still send a test message, and no, nothing is going to Spam or being blocked.
I've been using Acronis backup products for years and have noted increasing issues with each new version. The more frustrating problem is the total lack of support after their 'support period' has expired. The rush to produce and market a new version is apparently more important than the quality of any release, or the support that should be a no-brainer for such an important function.
Shame on you Acronis.

Is the following issue fixed yet with True Image 2011 build 6942 or True Image 2012?
Sending email notifications using TLS and port 587 causes True Image to "stop working"
