Activation Error

Thread needs solution

We are receiving an inaccurate message about "too many activations" and have been unable to resolve it.

We have 3 licenses for TI 2012 and Plus Pack 2012, each of which are entered into the Acronis registration database. We have 3 computers, separate licenses being applied to each computer.

TI 2012 was initially activated on each computer when TI 2012 was installed. When Plus Pack 2012 was added, one of the computers presented the message that there are "too many activations".

We have checked the serial numbers (both TI 2012 and Plus Pack 2012) assigned to each computer through the Help - About drop down. (We had to uninstall Plus Pack 2012 in order to view the assigned TI 2012 serial numbers. There is no duplication of serial numbers among the 3 computers.

We have followed the guidance in http://kb.acronis.com/content/22154 in an effort to see if there is a mis-assigned serial number. Curiously, we find only 1 allocated serial number when we follow that guidance. This serial number is for 1 of the other 2 computers.

We have completely uninstalled and reinstalled TI 2012 and Plus Pack 2012 on the problematic computer, but still receive the "too many activations" message when we attempt to activate TI 2012 using the serial number we have assigned to that computer.

Clearly, something is "screwed up" in the Acronis activation database and we are unable to resolve it locally.

The problem is probalby how the Acronis server is treating the serial numbers. Imo, you neeed to contact customer service to that they can straighten it out on their end.
