clone from SSD to HDD

Thread needs solution

I tried to clone from SSD to HDD en doing so the PC was started again. In te startup i saw a message appearing but it was to fast gone so i couldn't read it. There was'nt happening anything so i rebooted and windows (windows 7 Ultimate 64-bits) appeared. Then i tried the cloning again and when the PC rebooted there was again a warning which i could'nt read but the PC was unable to start windows.

I tried everything but my windows on C: was'nt working anymore. I had to re-install windows. I Lost many many hours so i was'nt pleased at all.

Is'nt true image capable of cloning this set or did i something wrong?

Please help!

It is hard to say, since it was hard to see the error message. Cloning is not the preferred method: doing a disk and partition backup, and restoring is much better because it provides more options.

Can anyone advise if it is normal for a backup (partition and whole drive - I just asked for C:) from an SSD which is 90.6 Gb Used space (of a total 240 (223) Gb Drive. to take up 439+Gb when backed up to HDD? I redid it and it was the same size, seems odd and I hope will somehow fit back on the SSD if the need to restore ever arises.

John, others and I have answered your question in your other post.
