Start Menu icon disappears and why does Win 7 warn me that TIH needs to change my hard drive?

Thread needs solution

I'm using Windows 7 Pro x64.

I have what seem to be two installation issues. First, the icon disappears from the entry in Start Menu for True Image Home 2012 the first time I run the program after installation. This Start Menu shortcut points to the file TrueImageHomeLauncher.exe, which also has no icon.

Now, in what may be related, each time I start True Image Home I get a warning from Windows that True Image needs to change my hard drive. This is the same message I get each time I install a program, but almost NEVER with i run a program that is already installed.

Both the icon issue and the warning issue make me think this program is ot fully installed. On the other hand, it seems to run properly and I the behavior is the same after uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

I think it is trying to run as admin, that is why you get the message. I do not know if this is common for ATIH or not.

Vic R,

The icon thing is a bug with the installer, but not critical to the use of ATI. YOu can fix the missing icon by selecting the shortcut in the start menu, right click, properties, change icon. Then navigate to the True Image program folder, and choose the icon of the AcronisTIBURLhandler thingy.

Thanks. The same solution was used by customer service during chat this morning. (For some reason I am not being notified about replies to my messages even though I have the box checked.)
