Clone & Partition ?

Thread needs solution

I am using True Home 2009 for making a clone on a different drive. I created a 2nd (local) partition before I used Utility > Clone option.

I made the clone as required and as it did many times for me. But it removed the 2nd (local) partition and so I'm back to the one partition.

How do I make a clone of the system C: drive without the cloning process removing the smaller 2nd (local) partition.
As I noted above in True Image 2009, I boot to DOS when doing the clones. I then go to Utilities, then to Clone, and click the wizard process. It always worked fine. But this time I did this with a larger backup disk with plenty of unused space. So I created a 2nd partition before I clone the system drive. It was removed. What do I do so the 2nd local partition isn't removed when I do the system drive clone?
With appreciation for your help..

Ron:

The Clone function in TrueImage makes an exact copy of a source disk to another disk. If you have only one partition on the source disk you will end up with one partition on the destination disk. You cannot do what you are trying to do by using the Clone function.

To do what you want, use the Backup function. Create an image of your Windows C: drive and save the image file to a temporary storage location such as an external USB disk or another PC on your home network. Once this is done, restore the image to the destination disk, resizing so that it fills the unused space without overlapping the 2nd partition.
