TI Home 2010_Retrieve data from HDD not recognized in Windows 7

Thread needs solution

I have a Karaoke DVD/HDD Player that includes a Hard Disk Drive (HDD-600 GB Seagate) with several thousand songs, including 300 songs that I added using the built-in menu system. There are NO PROBLEMS with the HDD or the data on the drive, but I want to copy the songs that I added to the HDD to another HDD.

I removed the HDD from the Karaoke Player and installed it into my Windows 7 computer. When I attempted to access the Drive and the data on the drive, I received a message indicating that the drive was NOT FORMATTED, and further asking whether I wanted to format the drive (Yes or No?). Fearing loss of data or other problems, I selected "No", and proceeded no further.

I do not know if the drive is unformatted, raw or formatted with a format that my Windows 7 computer does not recognize. What I would like to do is to use the backup (disk image) feature, cloning feature or other necessary utilities in TI Home 2010 to copy my song files from the Karaoke HDD to another HDD on my windows 7 computer.

Please help with suggested procedure to follow and recommendations for any other software required.

The backup pgrogram, and the OS under which it is running has to recognize the disk so that it can preserve the logical structure of the disk (partitions, etc.) Perhaps it is formatted in some way recognized by the music machine but not windows. If so, then you need some other way to copy the files. You could try the ATI bootCD, but if it doesn't recognize the disk formatting then you'll have to go the musick machine manufacturer and as them how it can be backed up.
