After de-installing ATIH2012 Windows 7 Backup cannot be started! :-(

Thread needs solution

Hi everyone!

I've tried Acronis True Image Home 2012. After the test period I didn't want to buy it, because the Windows 7 internal Backup worked good enough in the past.

I de-installed True Image Home and used the ATIH2012 Cleaner as well.

Then I re-started my PC, but the internal Windows 7 Backup could not be startet.

I found this possible solution in a forum in the internet:
It was described to change the value of the reg-key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B98A2BEA-7D42-4558-8BD1-832F41BAC6FD}\Instance\InitPropertyBag\ResourceDLL to %SystemRoot%\System32\sdcpl.dll

After another re-start of my PC nothing changed. :-(

I CANNOT START THE WINDOWS 7 BACKUP. :-(((

Please help! How can I re-enable my internal Windows 7 Backup?
My OS is Windows 7 Pro 64.

Thanks in advance,
Mareike

Please look at the post #36 in this thread. http://forum.acronis.com/forum/14782

Does it help?

Also, I've read in the forums where others have had luck by re-installing ATI, disabling the options to integrate the Acronis components into Windows (they were at at help -> options -> integrate for ATIH 2011), then after rebooting uninstall ATI again.

Hi Pat, hi Gork,

Thanks for the link!

It is described to set the RessourceID to 14. Is this value hex or dec?
