Different size partitions?

Thread needs solution

I don't understand why it was going to take 11 hours to back up about 25 Gigs on C drive? I talk with Toshiba which is the Laptop and they said only comes with 2 partitions and so did best buy. I don't think they know what they are talking about. I guess the laptop is booting on the 1.45 GB partition because it's the active partition and I did move the active partition on another one of my computers but I figure they have it there for a reason. So my question is how am I going to back this up showing these partitions?

Iirc, all of my toshibas only have two partions. Even drives that are nominally the same size are not always really the same exact size. That 1.45gb partiton is the reserved partition that, on toshibas, also contains the original image or installaltion files so that you can return disk to original condition. It also, as the active partition which contains the windows boot manager. So you have to have that partiton but it shouldn't be resized.

Try doing the restore again but this time don't check the box for Track 0/mbr. This will let you manualy restore each partition. Be sure that the reserved aprtiton remains the same size and then restore the c" partiton, allcoating the rest of available space, then restor track0/MBR.
