[Resolved] Incremental Backup is HUGE

Hi,

I have ABR11 on Server 2008 R2. I perform Weekly Full backups and Daily Incremental Backups. The Backups are stored on an External HD.

The problem I am having is the Incremental Backups are HUGE, far bigger than they should be.

My Full Backups are approx. 100GB. The Incremental Backups are 45GB.

If I do a manual Full Backup and then straight away a manual Incremental Backup (where the Incremental Backup should be very small) I still get +40GB.

I DO NOT have Disk Defragmenter on. I DO NOT have System Restore (server 08 doesnt have it). The Backups are created on an External HD.

Are any of the following settings causing this:

Multi-volume Snapshot - ENABLE
Fast Incremental Backup - ENABLE
Compression Level - MAXIMUM
LVM Snapshotting - ABR11
VSS - SOFTWARE SYSTEM

My apologies.

I had the column "Backed Up Data Size" on and that's what i was going off. I've added "Occupied Space" and can now see it is much smaller.
