Restore fails

Thread needs solution

TI10 +pack:
I tried to restore an image, it failed at the end (30 sec. left) with the message: Internal error: failed to allocate index buffer. The same when I tried to convert the .tib to .vhd. The image is valid!

questions:
- how can I restore it
- how can I find out before? It's terrible if a valid image can's be restored. Then I don't need TI.

thanks for help

If you started the restore from within windows, then try the bootcd. If you started it form the bootcd, then try starting it from within windows. I've known cases of both types where one worked when the other didn't.

I tried starting from bootcd an restoring within Win. I even tried to convert the image to an .vhd on another machine, nothing worked.

Can you validate the image from within ati in win or the bootcd?

No complete restore over here. After verifying the backup file several times and having it restored succesfully before, this time restore of C including program files but no restore of the startmenu or
tasktray. Neither of browserinfo and outlook xpress. Seperate emailrestore from acronis emailbackup also failed. backup performed from bootcd and within windows. Working on it now for two afternoons believing images were the quickest way to restore......
