Password protecting recovery/backup option

Thread needs solution

Hi,
Is is possible to have a password protection for the backup/recovery option pressing F11 when Acronis True Image Home 2011 is installed on the hard drive?
My home computer is used by other house members also.So there could be a possibility the the backup/recovery option pressing F11 is selected by the user and wrongly used destroying the backup and other important data.

There is no such a feature with 2011. With F11, a user can launch ATI before Windows and do all sorts of things. YOu could limit access to backups by encrypted the TIB files (this needs to be done when you set up the task, a password cannot be added later), but this doesn't prevent the user from deleting a backup file, etc.
You can also use the ASZ to store your backups and protect the ASZ with a password. But I recommend against using the ASZ in general, and it would still not prevent the user from potentially initializing a disk.
The best way is to disable F11, create a recovery CD that you store safely. You need one anyway since F11 will not work if your disk dies completely. You can/should also consider using multiple backup disks so that you can store one disk offsite for safekeeping.
