Accuracy of Clone progress bars

Thread needs solution

Hi guys,

can anyone advise on how accurate the progress bars are on the Acronis disk clone process? I'm cloning a disk of about 250Gb to a USB drive (Windows Server 2008 R2 but not the O/S drives). I think that should take about 12 hours so would expect to see some progess after 1/2 hour or so but it's still showing as being on process 2 of 2, 0% of current process completed, 50% total process completed.

The source disks (it's in a RAID1) are going mad but doesn't seem to be any activity on the USB target disk (thought difficult to tell as I'm not sure it has any indicator lights, just going buy the fact it still seems incrediblt cool!).

I don't want to cancel it if it's working and just not displaying properly but on the other hand I can't really afford to waste 12 hours then find it's not doing anything!!!

Any advise much appreciated

Ruth

Hello Acronis customer,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

The progress bar is part of the gui and so far the last component that is updated during the operation. As a result it is possible, that the progress bar does not reflect the current state of the operation.

I suggest using the default backup operation, that can run inside the running Windows operating system.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
