Hi,

I am new to the acronis product. I would like to find out which version of Acronis backup software is good at cloning hard disk.

I have a pc running on Windows XP Prof. I have a hardware raid "Highpoint Raid 1720" installed and configured as Raid 1 mirroring. At the moment, there is only one hard disk running and i couldn't rebuild the raid due to bad sectors on the disk that is running. I have no other option except for cloning the hard disk and then using the cloned hard disk to rebuild the raid.

Please advise if the Acronis Backup 11.5 is suitable for cloning the complete hard disk.

As long as the bootable media recognizes the "Highpoint Raid 1720" controller (and I think it should) you might be able to get away with Acronis True Image PC. Much cheaper then the server versions. Try the trial version and see if it works.
