Convert VMDK (Virtual machine Vmware) to TIB. It is possible?

Thread needs solution

Hello,

It is possible to import and convert a VMDK file to TIB file?
Which version of Acronis I need?

Hello Miros,

Thank you for submitting your question.
To be able to fully address you query, I will need more background on what are you goals, what are you trying to achieve.
Please share the background with me and we'll see what can be done.
To begin with, there is no VMDK-to-TIB conversion feature in any of Acronis products, but you can use VMware Workstation product, for example, to mount the VMDK to the blank VM, boot for Acronis bootable media and then convert to TIB file by simply conducting disk-level backup.

Best regards,

Well,
I have some VM made in VMware and I want to export them to real computers.
Just I need to know which is the best product I need to do that.

Like in VMware, if I have some tib file, I can convert it with vCenter to vmdk. It´s easy.

Hello Miros,

As I understand from your comment - you need to ensure that you have viable Virtual to Physical (V2P) migration solution: it can be done by using Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.5 product.
All you need to do is:

1. Boot the virtual machine with Acronis bootable media/Or install Acronis Agent for Windows inside the VM.
2. Create images of all (or some) virtual machine disks, including the system disk.
3. Restore the images to physical disks. When restoring a system disk, use Acronis Universal Restore. Complete the hardware driver configuration if Windows prompts.

There are two products, which you can use for this:

Acronis Backup & Recovery® 11.5 Workstation - http://www.acronis.com/backup-recovery/smallbusiness.html#ABR11-5W
Acronis Backup & Recovery® 11.5 Server for Windows - http://www.acronis.com/backup-recovery/smallbusiness.html#ABR11-5SW

Choice depends on what OS'es are installed inside the VM's you are planning to convert.
Also, Acronis Universal Deploy add-on should be bought with each of above products, to ensure recovery to dissimilar hardware.

Let me know if there are more questions.
Yours truly,
