Failed to create snapshot

I'm trying the native windows backup app to see if it produces any errors. I tried accessing the updates, but it tells me I need to login, even though I'm already logged in and can access downloads in "My Products and Downloads". We purchased "Acronis Backup & Recovery Server for Windows - Maintenance AAP" on March 11, 2013.

It seems, that some of the purchased products including the Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 upgrade license is not registered at your account. You need to register all Acronis products in order to download updates for free.

This issue is occurring as one of the VSS writer is not working fine. I request you to kindly provide me with following details:

1.) vssadmin list writers > c:\vl_writers.txt
2.) operating system being backed up
3.) If any active operational database being backedup
4.) Try switching VSS provider to Acronis Software VSS and share results (KB link: http://kb.acronis.com/content/31418)

We also recommend you to ensure that there are no physical errors on the disk. To ensure follow the KB mentioned below;

Backups continue to have VSS snapshots failing after installing latest build of acronis

2) Not sure what your asking here. I'm assuming the operating system is not being backed up because it errors on the C partition which is were the OS resides.

3) No there is no database applications on this server, just IIS, DNS, AD, Hyper-V

4) I switched one of the backups to Acronis VSS and I'm now testing it.

Some of these were timed out the first time I ran the command. I rebooted and they now indicate no error.

I upgraded to the latest version. I will try another backup to see if the issue still occurs
