Help! Personal vault empty, browsing local hard drive shows no archives, but can access archives via network share

Thread needs solution

Hi Folks,

I have a strange effect with my personal vault!
I am running ABR 11.5 latest version.
After my iSCSI backup volume run's out of disk space I decided to create a new one, copied all data to the new bigger volume and reconnect it to the same drive letter like the old one.
Now when I select the personal vault for restore no data is shown. Same when I try to load archives from the new local drive.
But when I share the same drive and access the data via \\servername\driveshare I can select the archives and perform a restore.
I already uninstalled ABR, made a installation cleanup and reinstalled the software.

Any Idea how to solve this?

Thanks in advanced
Swen

Hello Swen Bross,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

After moving the files you need to create a new personal vault that is using he existing path on the new device. See Merging and moving personal vaults.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

Instead of using \\servername\driveshare you need to browse to the vault using bsp://servername/driveshare

bsp:// is only for accessing managed vaults on ASN that can't be personal.
