Scheduled Recovery
Hi,
I'm trying to create a job to perform a scheduled recovery tasks, eg every mon, wed and fri.
However there isn't any options for that. I'm only able to schedule a recovery task to run once on a specific date.
Are there any scripts (or scheduler tasks) available to achieve that?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Fedor,
Thanks for the advice. Are there any scripts templates available for use as reference?

I don't know about such templates, but it should be simple - just a .cmd file with a single command like in http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ABR11.5/index.html#1…

It sounds like what Fedor has suggest will suite your needs very well, however if you find you or any one else needs to do any thing a little more complex Acronis do offer a Command-Line Reference manual which can be very handy to have:

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback and advise. Turns out that command-line isn't needed after all.
I found the option to convert the backups to VMs within the backup plans itself.
With that, I can schedule the conversions immediately after a backup jjob has completed.
Only problem is that the VM settings will be resetted after each conversion, eg memory, CPU etc.
Regards,
Joshua

Hi Joshua
Yes that is correct, if you would like to schedule a restore to a VM environment you can do this as a second step in your backup job... If you have purchased a virtual edition (eg, Vmware or Hyper-V) you can plug-in to your virtual environment and restore directly into your virtual infrastructure.
If you have the Advanced version for Windows or standard version for Windows you unfortunately can't use the more powerful features that are avalable in the virtual editions of the product and it might be worth looking into an upgrade cost to get access to these features as you can also then get full access to ALL the Acronis application agents such as (Exchange, SQL, Active Directory and Sharepoint) as they are included by default in the virtual editions now.
Enjoy!
