Acronis Backup 11.7 - Failed to detect the currently running operating system
Good morning, I have recently installed Acronis Backup for PC 11.7 on a PC running Windows 10 build 1709 but whenever I run the backup task it returns me the warning mentioned above: "Failed to detect the currently running operating system" and "Boot configuration data cannot be found". Both the backup and its validation are completed yet I keep getting this annoying warning which makes me question the actual validity of the backup. I have tried to explore the .tib file and copy files from there and it works just fine.
Here's the warning (it's in Italian):

The software has been installed just a couple of weeks ago with the latest version downloaded on the official website through the user panel.
Also, according to this link, the version of the software is compatible with Windows 10: https://kb.acronis.com/content/57680

Hello Mr. Semyonov,
we are facing the same warning with Acronis Backup 11.7 as described in the original post. We are able to mount the backup image successfully and browse the backed up data.
But since the output of
bcdedit /enum firmware
resembles your second screenshot, we would like to make sure everything is alright with our backup and possibly receive help with troubleshooting the error/warning.
Many thanks in advance!

Hi Jessica,
On your screen shot the bootmgr entry is placed first in the UEFI boot list, so the root cause of the warning should be different and it should be investigated by contacting our support team.
It's also likely that in your case the warning is still a false-positive alarm and won't affect the data consistency inside the backup (even though it might have a different root cause). You can confirm it by running a test recovery of the backup - for example by restoring it as a VM (Convert to VM function) and making sure that the OS boots correctly.
P.S. The warning is related only to OS boot records metadata stored in the backup, while the files/folders data consistency is unaffected.
Thank you.
