Acronis Backup for PC 11.5 doesn´t find work in Volume/Disk Mode

Thread needs solution

I want to ask if someone run into a similar or the same issue.

I have a Wortmann Terrra Business PC 5050 with Windows 7 x64 / new UEFI BIOS.
Simple drive configuration: Single harddisk, one C:\drive, MBR

I have installed Backup for PC 11.5 latest build and when trying to create a backupjob with Volume/Disk Mode there´s no drives or volumes displayed.

Only File mode is working.

I attached two screenshots showing the described result.

I booted from the latest Boot Media, either 32bit or UEFI Mode and this brings up the Volumes and I can create a successful Backup task.

I opened a case with Acronis support, but so far did not get any helpful response solving this matter.

I´m quite lost as to why the Volume Mode ist not working on that machine.

Thanks,

This may indicate problems with Acronis snapapi driver, that is responsible for volumes/disks backup operations. In most of similar cases it was solved by reinstalling Acronis Agent for Windows, root cause was not determined. So I'd suggest to reinstall (repair install or , only for Agent for Windows, uninstall and re-install).

Have you got the case # for the case you opened?

Thanks, the case Id is #02325339

I´ve completely un-installed the program and installed it again ...
Same issue.
Installation went through smoothly without any error messages or so on ...

Here´s a screenshot during installation showing the versions of the single components

I also recovered the volume image of the complete local harddrive that was successfully created with a boot medium download from my acronis account into a VMWare machine.

The recovered image working fine and when starting Backup for PC 11.5 I can select Volume mode and the whole Disk is visible.
IMHO, that should indicate that the Acronis installation on the hardware machine is correct.

Also I was contacted by an Acronis Support Engineer this morning.
She told me that the last case she had with the same problem was caused by the user who started the backjob was not Member of the backup operators.

But in my case the user starting the backupjob as well as the Acronis Agent User on that PC are members of the Backoperators group.

Then the problem is caused by a specific configuration of volumes on the original physical machine. In the bootable media (that is a linux-based environment) it may work even with the same volumes. Unfortunately I have no specific ideas how to troubleshoot this other than continue working with the support.
