Backup time taking super long.

Thread needs solution

I downloaded the trial version for Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 for MS SQL.
The backup time, is taking way too long.

When I look through the log (sent to my email upon completion), this part, is taking way too long.
It says, "Copying partition sector by sector (No Label (C))"

I did not enable the feature to backup sector by sector.
But I do have this option to enable, the "Single Pass Backup" and converting to VM upon completion.
And this backup is only for incremental backup.

Please help.

Thanks.

As I see, you convert backup to a VM of vmware workstation type. In this case, every conversion takes the whole chain of archives (backup to the full) and restores it completely to a new VM. It takes more time than an incremental backup takes, more like the time required to create a full backup.

As for 'sector by sector' message on recovery - IIRC it is always present even if the backup itself is not taken in 'sector-by-sector' mode.

I have a registered version of Acronis Tru Image 2017 and I am doing a full backup to your web site. It is 169GB and has remained at between 1 day and 1 day 15 hours for two days. Is it restarting everytime I use my pc? Do I need to stop using my pc for two days? IF so this is unacceptable.

The transfer rate is a consisent 5.0 Mbps, Is this normal?

I am not impressed. I paid for this software to do a image backup from one SSD to another in my system. I read in the advertising it could do it without the need for a separate boot. But in my case I DO need a separate boot. without it it aske me to reboot, to continue with the backup, but if I do nothing resumes. The knowledgebase claims that this is due to having external USB storage or an internal/external USB hub of which I have neither, yet I could only get the image copied when I made the Acronis boot key (USB) and rebooted into that after startingt the cloning process.

Thirdly the step by step directions are not accurate and I have read other comments atttesting to this. Things do not work as described.

I have made three points about my disatisfaction yet, I cannot get a refund. Why is this? I am sure Acronis coudl deactivate my license key. I only paid for it this last weekend on 11/5 or 11/6/16.

This software has lots of potential but does not live up to it in my opinion. OR at least for Windows 10 users, maybe it would work better if I had an older operating system.
