Backups aren't applying Retention Rules

Hi there,

I am having an issue with Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.5. I have a backup set that should delete all previous backups due to a lack of space. Pretty much, I am trying to clone the drive without actually cloning it. That means I just need one backup at all times. The backup type is set to custom, and is set to delete backups older than 1 day. The backup is run every Wednesday, so backups are always older than 1 day. Please see the screenshots attached. I can't seem to figure out what's going on.

This won't work this way - retention rules never delete all backups, so at least one is always left. As you apply the rules before backup, it leaves one backup, and then second one is creating. If you can accept the risk of having no backup at some time and have no place for two full backups, use 'when there is insufficient space to back up' retention rule that is available in custom scheme. If you have space for two backups, change you retention rules to apply them after backup.
