Browsing TIB Files

Thread needs solution

Folks,
I am attempting to recover a single folder from the C:\ drive of a virtual machine backup created in December. Using Windows Explorer, I navigate to the vault containing the TIB but when I open the TIB, the system seems to hang for an extended period of time before I eventually get a message that it is not responding.

Any suggestions? I am running 11.5.32266

Hi Vint,

First of all note that browsing archive contents with Windows explorer if the archive is located inside a managed deduplicated vault is not supported and may cause such symptoms (also check https://kb.acronis.com/content/35091 article). You should use the File Recovery wizard from the native Acronis Backup interface. If that's not the case then please update your Acronis Backup installation to the most recent build (you're using a very old build) and re-try the operation.
