Can't Seem To Restore SBS 2011 Backup
It is a full image backup. No errors on the backup. I brought the image back to my office and tried restoring to a identical server. Here is what it does after restoring:
1) Goes in to chkdsk. Then reboots
2) You get the black screen where is is applying updated to the registry
Then it goes in to "Preparing to update Windows" (what you see after a big Windows Update)
Then it reboots
3) Crashes with blue screen of death
I have tired restoring to different servers with different drivers. I am frustrated. I would have thought restoring to an identical server would have been a piece of cake. Even when I do finally get it going it freezes up or runs so slow it can't be used. Any ideas?

Thanks Vasily. I restored the entire disk. No resizing and no Universal Restore. It was quite some time ago but I believe I had the same issue with a SBS 2008 system. I am putting this on the forum in hopes that some other user has encountered this issue and knows the cause.
I did manage to get around it. I restored to a plain jane IDE drive. Once I got past the chkdsk it seemed to boot OK. For some reason (even though it is an identical server) it re-found a lot of new devices. I Updated the Adaptec drivers, re-backed up at that point and then restored to the SAS array. Seemed to work but it was a very time consuming process. Looking for a reason and a fix.
