Error at Backup
Hi,
i have installed acronis 11.5 on an win2k8r2 machine.
Windows Agent/WindowsAgent for Esxi/management console/license server
When i now try to make backups of an guest system that runs on an esxi 4.1 host, the backup crashes at about 4% with the following error log content.
I have tried the same thing on an win7 machine and everything worked fine.
Has someone an idea what i can do to solve that ?

Hmm.... strange doesnt it say that no license is needed for that operation ? But nevertheless. We have two licenses imported into the license server. I have appended the xml output.
The win7 machine is an seperate physical machine.
All parts of acronis are installed and run on this machine.
But as said on win7 i dont have the problem. The problem occurs when i install all that on an physical win2k8r2 server machine and it happens reproduceable on machine at customer site as here on our lab site.
The license:
Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Virtual Edition für VMware vSphere + Universal Restore
Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Advanced Server für Windows
you need to license the esxi server. if you run multiple esxi servers with vcenter integration you need to license all esxi servers.
What do mean by license the esxi server ? We work without vsphere integration.

when you look at your licensing server, the virtual license has to be applied to your esxi host.
you have been right somehow the license got associated with the local physical machine. I have removed the license and added again. After that i could associate it with the esxi host and the backup worked :-)
