How to clear activity history from dashboard
hi,
in the past clearing all events from the dashboard was done by deleting all events and activities in the log section. with build 43994 this how-to doesn't work anymore. "remove_history.bat" doesn't work either.
any ideas?

Here's an example. Notice the three failed backups, but the last one was successful after the issues were resolved.:
I have already cleared the Alerts.
As you can see, I have cleared the Alerts, but the Activities are still listed, without any obvious way to remove them. Which is a problem, because the Status is apparently based on Activities rather than the Alerts - and it seems based on past Activities and not the latest one.

Since the images, which I copied/pasted into the message - and which were displayed correctly - were dropped by your system, I have saved them to files and attached them separately.
Fichier attaché | Taille |
---|---|
443730-144434.jpg | 84.76 Ko |
443730-144437.jpg | 64.19 Ko |

And... your system dropped the filenames. The 84.76KB image is the Activities list, and the 64.19KB file is the Alerts list.

I found a solution, which seems to be the only "official" solution.
Open the database, which uses a flavor of SQL, with a third-party tool, and delete the records manually. https://kb.acronis.com/content/59901. Apparently there is no internal solution for so basic of an issue.

Hello Michael,
Unfortunately, the instructions from the KB article are the only option for now if we speak about Acronis Backup 12.5. I've added your feedback to the existing feature request to add such an option (internal ID for reference ABR-111722). Thank you!
Please note that this forum section is dedicated to Acronis Backup 11.7. I'd suggest posting here https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-business-products-discussions/a… if you want to discuss Acronis Backup 12.5.

Thank you for your reply. You may also want to add a recommendation that Status be based on Alerts, which can be cleared, rather than Activities, which are more reasonable to keep as history data.
This thread came up in my search which included "Backup 12.5" and I didn't notice that it is intended for 11.7.
