Typical backup through-put

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm currently evaluating AR 11.5 and I've configured my physical AMS server with the VMware agent. The Windows AMS server has been presented the datastore volumes of the VMs that I've been doing my test backups on (LAN-Free). My question is, what is the typical through-put rate should I be seeing on my backups, as they appear to be in the low end for having a 4GB FC connection direct to the data.

I have configured 2 vaults (1 dedupe, 1 not) on a SAN attached volume.

Test VM to different vaults.
Backup VM to non-deduped vault, 35.5GB took ~25 mins (~25MB/sec)
Backup VM to deduped vault, 35.5GB took ~1 hour (~10MB/sec)

I also tried our primary file server, which is ~610GB, and this took a little over 7 hours to back up to the deduped vault (~25MB/sec).

All of these backup rates are far below the maximum though-put rate of 4GB FC. Is this type of transfer rate normal? Or am I missing something here?

Hi,

same problem on my Windows 2012 HYPER-V (full patched) after upgrade to release 11.5.37975. Slow performance to another server (Windows 2012). ~ 70 Mbit/s maximum.
A normal copy jobs ~ 950Mbit/s.

That's a big different and a big problem.

Please Acronis correct this bug. The previous version has no problems, dispite the fact, it crashes 2 times per month :( So i decided to update. That was a mistake.

Kind regards from germany
Stephan
