cannot backup sql express

Thread needs solution

1 physical server running vmware esx 5.1 essentials

1 virtual server which is the acronis management server, has SQL agent installed, windows agent installed

appliance agent installed on vmware

the acronis backup can see the databases to be backed up and detects the sql server application on the server

however every attempt to backup the SQL server ends with

"Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service"

Hi!

Possible solutions:

  • Move VSS storage to another physical disk with lower IO load
  • Set up retries in backup plan settings.

Try to set up  retries in the backup plan first. If it does not help, move VSS storage to another physical disk.
