Can't assign license
I want to assign a license to my Windows Storrage Server 2008R2 Essentials, but it won't let me select my server. Nothing shows up when I click on assign.

Our reseller gave us a a Windows Server Essential license. We do have a Windows Storage Essentials server. They promised that this license would work on our machine.

This license should work - probably the reason is not in the license itself but in something else. You should contact our support team for assistance with the issue.

According to Acronis support our operating is not supported. The trial however worked just fine.

We had a spare Server 2012 license and this one seems to work. I am confused now. Acronis tells me our OS is not supported, however a full server license works with an Essentials server.

Thank you for the clarifications - from what I've found there is indeed an issue detecting this particular Windows _Storage_ Server _Essentials _ edition and mapping Acronis Backup 12 Essentials license to it (internal ID: TTASK-16221). There are certain difficulties distinguishing this Windows edition from standard Storage Server one via standard Microsoft APIs. Your Acronis Backup 12 Essentials license should be replaced with standard Server one - I've instructed our support team to perform this replacement for you in the case you've submitted to our support team.

Thank you for this. We have several customors with this problem. Some of them have Server 2012 Storage Essentials. Can we just ask for a replacement for all of our customors? Is there a way to do this in one sitting?
