Can't Delete Backups

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis 12 for work. I try to manually delete backups by going through device, then recovery points, and deleting. I have also tried going to the data vault and deleting from there. When deleting the icon just keeps spinning while saying deleting, and the activity log says it is deleting and 100% complete. When I check the backups, the files are still there. Any ideas as to whats causing this?

Hi Brad,

It's not totally clear where exactly you check the deletion results and what was actually deleted. If you delete only some selected recovery points then it's normal that the .tib files are still in the location, since a single .tib file contains all recovery points (that's the default "always incremental" archive type - see "single-file backup format" decription) and removing some of them won't delete the actual file. If you want to get rid of all the backups then you should click the "Delete all" button which will remove the archive files for the selected machine as well. If there are still problems please attach some screen shots illustrating your actions step-by-step so that I can advise further.

Thank you.
