Add 11.7 client to Acronis 12.5 Management Console

Thread needs solution

We have just installed Acronis 12.5 for our VM.  On the same network, we have Windows 10 using 11.7 client.  I tried to move the 11.7 perpetual license to the 12.5 management server but failed.  It said the key is invalid (with our without hyphen in the key).

In addition, when i tried to add the Windows 10 with 11.7 client, it forced to update to 12.5 (but we don't have license for that on physical machine).  How can i avoid that?

Or, is 12.5 management console NOT compatible with earlier version?

Thanks

Hello Raymond,

The 12.5 management console uses a completely new and different architecture and is not compatible with earlier client versions. This 11.7 client will have to be updated.

So, it is not possible to put 11.7 (or earlier) client together with 12.5?

I suppose the upgrade from 11.7 to 12.5 need to be charged separately.

In that case, i would run a separate 11.7 console.

Not possible

Yes, you'll need to purchase an Upgrade license. Let me know if you have any questions concerning the licensing options.

Thank you,
