4K Sector Size not supported by Acronis True Image Enterprise 9.1

Thread needs solution

My Version of Acronis True Image is 9.1 Enterrprise and i understand that there is no support for drives with 4K sector size (Disk >= 2TB).
Which Version of True Image supports this drive structure? I think drives with 4k sector size are not really new and i hope any version of True Image can handle this.

Hello Dirk,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

I would recommend you to try Acronis Backup & Recovery 10, the issue with a 4 KB cluster size has been addressed in the latest build of the software.

I may recommend you to install a trial version of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server available here in order to make sure that the program runs flawlessly.

From the other hand, the issue is still present in the current builds of the Home versions, please see this article for more information.

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.

Thanks, i have succesfully test backup and restore with the Acronis Server 10 Demo Version. We have 47 Server with Acronis 9.1 and we plan to upgrade our SAN to Texas Memory TMS 620 modules. This disk modules break the 2TB boundary and we have some problems with our software, because of the 4 K sector size. (eg. MS-SQL Server, Veritas...) I think, i can recommend Acronis 10 for our upgrade plan in next year.

regards

Hi,

Is this issue still present on the latest builds of TI 2010 Home? I purchased it on the beginning of April and I would like to know if there's any update that I can perform in order to be able to use hard drives with 4K clusters without any problem whatsoever.
