ABR 11 HOW TO -Changing the default cache folder for catalog files
Hi, Could you please advise on the issue:
Catalog directory takes a lot of space on the c drive. (my version: ABR 11, Windows2008 server)
this folder has taken up 33 GB of C: drive:
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\ASN\catalog.
My question:
how to maintain the catalog file size or how to free up the C: drive?
BTW, I found a solution to this issue for ABR 11.5 on forum but wondering what if my version is A different version(ABR11) ?

to change the location of the catalog data you can refer to the following section in the product manual:

Thanks for your support!

Logs are cleared automatically to the amount specified in machine options or AMS options.
Catalog for managed vaults on the Storage Node (in your case - BackupAndRecovery\ASN\catalog) is not mentioned in help for 11.5 because it's specified for each vault during its creation, and for version 11 relevant article is http://kb.acronis.com/content/26428
You may reduce its size if you switch cataloging mode to 'off' (i.e. down to volume level only) in backup plan options, for backup plans that use centralized vaults on this storage node.

Many thanks, Dev-anon.
Followed the link to the correct article, I've successfully moved the default ASN catalog to another disk drive. Now the c: drive has more free space and healthy again :)
Thank you so much!
I've 1 more question: how can I find the settings to specify the amount of log file I want ABR to maintain for me automatically? I tried but couldn't find it.

For management server logs, connect to management server, go to options-> Management Server options -> logs cleanup rules.
For logs of agent - connect to the agent, it;s under options->'managed machine options' -> logs cleanup rules.
