ABR V11 (17347) & Storage Node Issue

Thread needs solution

Hi there,

I have an issue with the above software after upgrading in that i can now no longer re-attach one of my storage nodes to the central management server. When trying to add the storage node it just sits there saying adding machine, and nothing ever happens, i end up having to cancel the option and then restart all of the acronis services on the central management server.

My original setup was as follows.

1 x ABR 10 ADV Wkst management server (build 13762)
1 x ABR 10 License Server (build 13762)
1 x Storage Node (build 13762) on NAS device running Windows Storage Server
1 x Storage Node (build 13762) on NAS device running Windows Storage Server (Different server from above)
20 x ABR Wkstn's (build 13762) going to vaults on either of the above storage nodes.

We have upgrade licenses to use V11 of the software and bought additional FULL V11 licenses to cover new machines.

Decided to upgrade as below to version 11 but had issues with the installer on the management server as it said that the previous version of ABR 10 was damaged, i tried to uninstall this version and start from scratch installing V11 from begining but i couldn't uninstall the previous version either.

I finally had to run the abr_cleanup -- clean command on the server to remove all ABR 10 software that was installed.

Cleaned out any remaing registry settings and restarted server.

Once server restarted the followng process was carried out.

1. Installed ABR 11 ADV Wkstn (build 17437) License server and imported previous keys and new keys.
2. Installed ABR 11 ADV Wkstn (build 17437) Management server with remote install components.
3. Installed ABR 11 ADV Wkstn (build 17437) Management console.
4. Installed ABR 11 Storage Node (build 17437) on NAS server 1.
5. Installed ABR 11 Storage Node (build 17437) on NAS server 2.

So far so good.

On running up the management console - i try to reattach the storage nodes and i can add the storage node from server 1 and can see the archibes that are already there, but i cannot seem to add the storage node from NAS server 2.

I have tried to uninstall the storage node several times and re-install but i keep having the same issue.

I have even tried uninstalling the storage node software and removed all traces of files left over that i could find on the local drives and from the registry.

I have also looked at the KB article that shows you how to fix a certificate issue, that didn't help.

I have tried pretty much everything that i can think of and i STILL can't get the storage node to add.

Has anyone had a similar issue and managed to resolve? Or can anyone point me in the right direction as to how i resolve this issue?
