ABR10 Issues that remain to be fixed

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm disappointed that these issues, however small, still remain to nag me with this product. It would be nice to know why Acronis thinks it more important to issue new feature patches when existing customers labor thru an assortment of problems with existing features.

1). GFS task still doesn't do anything towards cleaning up an archive. In its settings box, it continues to display the setting of "Never" for the Apply Rules option.

2). Since the last patch, numerous tasks do not show themselves in the running state. Even though they are running, they appear as idle.

3). ADDH11 still does not run standalone when co-installed with ABR10. You have to stop the ABR's MMS service before executing ADDH11.

4). The Tray monitor still displays "Task ABC has started" twice in the ballon message. It would be better to tell me which backup plan has started along with which of its tasks.

5). Cannot edit and save an existing vault validation task without triggering an error. Such a task must be deleted and recreated from scratch.

6). Selecting to view the log still results in random "from" and "to" dates being used. I would think that the current date should at least be used for the "to" date.

7). The source file exclusions should permit the wild carding of the Window's drive letter so I don't have to key in a exclusing pattern for the same directory on every drive.

8). I do not think it important to zero out all task execution dates once its backup plan has been editted.

9). I should have the ability to clear any and all task error flags.

10). I now have the situation when the GUI reports that I have 26 task errors with no task showing in error and no way to clear them out.

All these errors are GUI related so I am sure there are many more things out there that need to be addressed. Stop releasing new features and start fixing these exisitng issues. I cannot possibly recommend your product to my small business customers until these behaviour changes.
