AB&R11 bootable media damaged my external USB hard drive
Hi,
We use AB&R11 on one of our projects in London. Our support program expired in May this year so I'm posting my problem here in hope somebody have encountered it and maybe there is a easy fix for it.
My story is pretty simple. I went on site as usual, stick my external western digital MyPassport to the server I wanted to back up, booted server from bootable media (Build: #17440) and started backing up.
Somewhere along the process Acronis software gave me an error message saying that there is not enough space to continue - so I pressed cancel and sticked another HDD to have back up done (starting from new). Nothing was giving any indication that something went wrong.
I discovered the problem when I came back to the office - Acronis bootable media corrupted my HDD so I can't access it in order to get my backups!
Does anybody know if the way how Acronis bootable media corrupts the HDD is reversible in any easy way?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Greg

Anna, did you find a solution to the issue above? Clearly Acronis should not corrupt hardware but it is happening. Please see a copy of the issue I posted to the forum below. Thank you!
My initial problem was a disk full error on 2 of the 3 PCs in my office. After weeks of working on my issue and elevating the problem to "experts" and then "developers" it was decided that 2 of the 3 brand new external hard drives I had purchased to use with True Image were corrupt. I am using WD My Passport Ultras - 1 TB. I had the hard drives replaced. One is still working, but the day my case was closed the external hard drive connected to my computer stopped backing up with the same "disk full" error - the disk is nowhere near full. I worked with customer support at WD and we determined that this hard drive had become corrupt as well. I have searched this issue on the forums and it has come up before that Acronis corrupts external hard drives, but no solution has been offered. My support period has ended but the issue has not. My replacement hard drive will arrive today. I would like to start backing up immediately but I'm very concerned that the same issue will arise. Is there anything I can do? It is becoming apparent that Acronis will not fix the problem and I'm pretty sure WD will only send me so many replacements.
Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!
