Acronis 11

Thread needs solution

One of our clients has been using Acronis 11 at our recommendation without any problems until recently.

They problem lies on their HP server that is utilizing an Adaptec RAID controller (ASR-7805). When the application is run they are receiving no error messages, but it cannot detect any of the drives.

Is there a particular patch or update/driver that needs to be downloaded for this fix?

Thank you in advance, my searches for this problem did not yield any good results.

I assume that Backup & recovery is run under Windows, and 'select data to backup' window doesn't show any disks. Are disks visible in 'disk management' page or in target disk selection during recovery task creation? If not, there must be problems with snapapi driver, and it may help to update tho the last build (17440). If disks are not detected only in 'data to backup' dialog but detectedf in other places - such issues were reported and investigated, but no definite root case was found. Reinstall may help, or you can refer the customer to the support. Update to the latest build of Acronis Backup 11.5 will be suggested before troubleshooting, so they have valid support program it's recommended to do it first.
